1. JANSEN CHUA

Jansen currently heads the conveyancing department of the Firm.
Jansen’s areas of practice include real estate practice and he represents a wide spectrum of clients including individuals, corporations, financial institutions and developers. He was appointed as legal counsel for various land transactions including acquisition of lands in Selangor, Melaka and Johor.
Jansen is also well-versed in intellectual property law due to his exposure in Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co. in the intellectual property practice where he was involved in numerous high profile cases in the enforcement field. He was involved in various seize and seizure exercises in Peninsula and East Malaysia.
Jansen graduated from the University of London with second class upper honours in Bachelor of Laws and obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice with second class lower honours amongst the top achievers nationwide. In the course of pursuing his tertiary education, he was awarded various scholarships including Tun Abdul Hamid Scholarship and Shearn & Delamore Certificate of Legal Practice Scholarship.
Prior to the incorporation of this firm, Jansen was a partner in Messrs Lee & Partners for three (3) years specialising in corporate law as well as conveyancing. He has also provided legal advice to companies in the finance, education, oil and gas and insurance industries, among others. His experience includes due diligence exercises, drafting of sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements as well as share purchase agreements.
Further, Jansen had worked with Messrs Rahmat Lim & Partners a firm specialising in public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investment and general corporate and commercial law. His previous experience has afforded him the chance of working on notable mergers and acquisitions in Malaysia including transactions involving public listed company.
Jansen was also awarded with the 100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs Award in the Year 2018 organised by Entrepreneur Insight as a recognition of his achievements in the real estate industry.
2. TAN RICHARD

Partner
Richard is our partner. He provides support to our corporate and conveyancing department. He graduated from University of Malaya with an LL.B (Hons) degree with Second Class Upper and was called to the Malaysian Bar.
He had chambered and practised in Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co. for several years under its the financial services department. He had advised local and foreign institutions on securities laws, banking laws, general corporate & commercial laws and regulatory compliance matters related to collective investment scheme, insurance and derivative products.
He was involved in various commercial transactions such as mergers & acquisitions when he practised in Messrs Rahmat Lim & Partners. He was experienced in corporate law and had worked on several notable mergers and acquisitions in Malaysia, in particular, transactions involving companies in the education, information technology, manufacturing, oil and gas and insurance industries, among others.
Prior to joining this firm, he was a partner in Lee & Partners. He was involved in both corporate and real estate transactions. He was experienced in real estate works relating to joint venture and land development transactions between developer and landowner, and works on sale and purchase of commercial and residential properties.
3. TAN KEA YONG, KEWELL

Kewell’s practice focuses primarily on corporate and commercial matters, including drafting and preparation of commercial contracts, legal due diligence investigations and corporate advisory work as regards legal compliance. He also does conveyancing work.
Kewell graduated from University of London with a Bachelor of Laws. He completed his qualifying examination, Certificate in Legal Practice, in 2011 and earned one of the top three achievement nationwide with a second class upper honours. For his stellar performance, he was awarded with Tan Sri Dato’ Seri P. Alegendra Trophy for Excellence 2010-2011 and was named Top Student in Certificate in Legal Practice 2010-2011 by Kemayan Advance Tertiary College. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2012.
He commenced his legal career with Messrs Albar & Partners under its corporate practice where he was involved in mega initial public offering projects involving, among others, global agricultural and agri-commodities company, oil and gas company, private healthcare service provider and independent power producer.
He later joined Messrs Wong Beh & Toh and had amassed considerable experience in corporate exercises of public listed companies, such as dividend reinstatement plan, bonus issue of shares and warrants, rights issue, privatisation exercises by way of capital reduction and scheme of arrangement. He was also involved in the takeover of an integrated telecommunications service provider during his tenure with Messrs Wong Beh & Toh.
Kewell is well versed with company law and has co-authored a sponsored article relating to changes brought by Companies Act 2016 in Asian Legal Business China October 2016 issue. He was the co-contributor to one of the multi-jurisdictional guide titled “Establishing a business in Malaysia 2016” on Practical Law by Thomson Reuters. He also immensely assisted the author of Best Practice Guide on AGMS for Listed Issuers published in 2016 in authoring the same.
4. MOHD SALEHUDDIN DATO’ MOHD SALLEH

Mohd Salehuddin has been in the legal practice for a good decade. Having graduated with a Diploma in Public Administration from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in 2005 – he embraced the challenge of debate and in depth research and continued studying to graduate with a Bachelor of Laws from the same University in 2009.
After the completion of his 9-month pupillage at Messrs Zul Rafique & Partners, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in July 2010.
His first career step took place as an Associate with Satha & Co. before joining Messrs Abdul Raman Saad in 2012.
In 2014, he founded Messrs Azlan Hadijah Salehuddin, a fast growing firm specialising in general litigation. The firm, based in Kuala Lumpur expanded its practice to Melaka in 2016.
Mohd Salehuddin has been in active practice in the field of litigation, in particular, civil and commercial litigation involving banking matters, commercial contracts, leasing and hire purchase, bankruptcy, company insolvency, recovery of debts, land disputes, land acquisition, torts, letters of administration and other general litigation.
He also practices criminal law, defending clients under various charges under the statutes.
In the course of his practice, he has been exposed to both contested and non-contested litigation matters involving enforcement of judgment, defamation suit, injunction and personal injury cases. He has advised and represented numerous companies in the automotive industry for the past 7 years.
To further expand his portfolio into other law practice areas, Mohd Salehuddin joined the Firm in June 2019 as a Partner in the litigation department.
5. CHUA HUI CHEE

Senior Legal Assistant
Hui Chee is currently a legal assistant under our conveyancing department.
She graduated from University of London in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws and completed her qualifying examination, Certificate of Legal Practice, in 2014. She then underwent her pupillage with Messrs. Nik Hussain & Partners and was admitted to the Malaysian Baron 6 November 2015.
Hui Chee commenced her legal career as legal assistant with Messrs. Leong & Co. under its conveyancing practice until December 2016. She later re-joined Messrs. Nik Hussain & Partners and was involved in matters relating to real estate sale and purchase transaction, housing development project, retail banking transactions and Islamic financing.
6. ROSLINA BINTI MOHAMED HAMZA

Senior Legal Assistant
Roslina is currently a Senior Legal Assistant under our conveyancing department.
She graduated from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Laws. She worked for Yayasan Salam Malaysia, a non-profit organisation before she underwent her pupillage with Messrs. Chew & Ho. She was subsequently admitted to Malaysian Bar on 28 September 2002.
Rosline commenced her legal career as legal assistant with Messrs. S Tan & Partners under its general litigation and conveyancing practice until April 2006. She further joined Messrs. Swan & Partners, Messrs. Rithauddin & Azlin, Messrs. Teh Kim Teh (Kota Damansara branch), Messrs. Noraishah Yasmin & Associates and was involved in matter relating to real estate sale and purchase transaction, housing development project, retails banking transactions and Islamic financing.
